The Brownstone - I wanted to create a small, narrow house that I could set several together on a block.  Below is what I came up with - built on a 20x15 lot.  The first shot shows three of them lose together.  You can download this house here.

For those who might be following my Darcy Ranch, I thought I'd post pictures of my breeding stock.

Parsifal is a Champion Racehorse.

Crimson is also a Champion Racehorse.

Alexa is a Jumping Star.

Diamond is well on her way to being a Jumping Star.
I updated the Darcy Vacation House last night but I don't think I'll get to the master bedroom shots until tomorrow.

I also uploaded a house to the Shop Swap over at Carl and Pam's The Sims 3 Forum.  A member had requested some beach homes.  So I put together this little two bedroom, one bath, home.

You can download either the unfurnished or the furnished version of this house at:

New fillies at the Darcy Ranch

Misty and Boots were born - Sire is Parsifal for both.

Misty is out of Diamond.  Boots is out of Crimson

Misty Birth Traits - Playful, Aggressive, Untrained

Misty aged up with maxed racing AND jumping!  So now I'm working on that Aggressive trait.  Lots and lots of Nuzzling and Praise/Reinforcement.  We'll see how long it takes.  She gained the Fast trait while still a foal.

Boots Birth Traits - Quiet, Agile, Untrained

Darcy Vacation Home - France

The Darcy's both wanted to visit France.  So I took them there and the very first night, they were so pestered by the media, that I got a mod to decrease the amount of Visa points needed per level so I could get a vacation home on the second day.  Then I decided to build my own.  Below is the first picture of it.  I haven't completed the interior yet.  I'll post pictures of the interior here later when I have it done.

So I made a discovery today that I'm sure many people probably know but I thought I'd share for those that don't.

The Darcy's bought a vacation property in France which I started building (see above).  But I wanted to do a lot more to it but I didn't really have the funds yet.  So the Darcy's returned home (both of them wanted to have a child and I didn't want to risk any glitches by getting her pregnant while on vacation) and I had a thought.  Would Edit Town work so I could work on the house in France while they were away?  So I went into Edit Town, clicked on the gray France icon in the upper left and yes, I COULD work on their house in France.  Not only that, it didn't cost the Darcy's a dime!  Win Win!  As soon as they are able to return, I'll get back and do some nice screenshots.  I've added a bunch to the lot including a garage, privacy fencing around the whole property (grrrr!  paparazzi!), a pool with a hot tub, and a hedge maze covered with a flowered trellis.  Inside the hedge maze is a fountain with a reading/relaxing sofa and another area has a suspended bed (for outdoor/under the stars fun!).  Can't wait to show it off.

As promised - pics! (I just realized I forgot to get shots of the master bedroom and bath; will do that tomorrow!)

Friday 25 November 2011

I spent today mostly playing my Darcy saved game.  Was nice to get back to that and the horses.  However, while checking some forums, an idea sparked for me for a new build project.  The Brady Bunch house.  What do you think?

Southern Comfort
I ended up doing another build. :)  It looks like a plantation home.  It's on a 40x40 lot so it could be set on much bigger lots to add more features.

Wednesday 23 November 2011

I've spent the last couple days working on a build by request from a nice lady over at the Carl and Pam's The Sims 3 Forums

She had some specific requests:

1. Victorian Farm/Ranch
2. With only one floor
3. A basement for winecellar
4. Main masterbedroom ensuite with bath
5. Maybe a guest bedroom
6. Attached garage with one car space and area to do skills like inventing and sculpting
7. A small patch for gardening
8. A fish pond for stocking
9. Two horse stalls with a place for hay and tack
10. Small horse training ground - race and jumping
So here's what I came up with:

Jessop Ranch
Lot Size: 50x50
Bedrooms: Two
Bathrooms: Two
Cost when placed on 50x50 lot: 101,315 (furnished)
Requires expansion/Sims 3 store content: I use all expansions and stuff packs up to Pets

It was a fun build and a nice challenge.  You can see more screen shots here:
